On: AI rewrites each story into a 60-80 word brief plus key points. Off, or if AI is unavailable: the article's opening paragraphs are used instead.
A story counts as read when you swipe past it, never while you are still reading it. Read stories stay a couple of cards behind you so you can swipe back, then disappear. When you reopen the app, tap refresh, or pull down on the first story, read stories are gone and only the latest unread ones show.
Stories you have not read yet are kept for up to 3 days, even after the publisher drops them from its feed.
Read history is stored on this device. The Home Screen app and a Safari tab keep separate lists.
Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. Opens full screen, like an app.
Short briefs only. Tap the blue bar on a card to read the full story at the publisher.
